{"id":186,"date":"2012-05-07T12:16:00","date_gmt":"2012-05-07T11:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/test.espacestemps.net\/?page_id=186"},"modified":"2021-07-10T11:10:56","modified_gmt":"2021-07-10T09:10:56","slug":"writing-project","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/test.espacestemps.net\/en\/writing-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Editorial project"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Interdisciplinary.<\/h2>\n<p>Beginning with the social sciences and reching towards other disciplines, EspacesTemps.<em>net<\/em> explores the interfaces between diverse disciplinary fields, such as the experimental sciences, engineering, architecture, philosophy, art, etc. Several sections, such as the dossiers in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espacestemps.net\/\/rubriques\/traverses\/\">Traversals,<\/a> offer transversal readings of the questions being discussed, regularly fed by the contributions.<\/p>\n<h2>Reflective.<\/h2>\n<p>In the wake of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espacestemps.net\/\/en\/trace-the-sources-of-an-interdisciplinary-editorial-project\/\">EspacesTempsLes Cahiers <\/a>\u2013 the paper journal founded in 1975 \u2013 whose objective was to \u201creflect on the social sciences\u201d, the journal EspacesTemps.<em>net<\/em> has been pursuing the same epistemological reflection since 2002. It presents works of exploration and conceptual construction, as well as methodological reflections, seeking to create a dialogue between the social sciences and other disciplines.<\/p>\n<h2>Topical.<\/h2>\n<p>The journal is always on the lookout for current affairs, as much in the social sciences as in overall societal phenomena. The most recent research, the latest events, debates, and publications are presented and discussed on EspacesTemps.<em>net<\/em>. With an average publication rate of more than three articles per week, the journal is constantly diffusing material in order to remain at the forefront.<\/p>\n<h2>Rigorous.<\/h2>\n<p>Under the direction of an Editorial Board comprised of qualified researchers, the journal selects articles according to strict criteria in order to guarantee the quality of the publications. EspacesTemps.<em>net<\/em> also uses a network of reviewers who evaluate articles according to the international <em>peer review <\/em>model. In this way, the journal affirms its will to keep its position of excellence within the social sciences.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2009, the journal was graded \u201cA\u201d by the Agence fran\u00e7aise d\u2019\u00e9valuation de la recherche et de l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur (Aeres), the French agency for the evaluation of research and academic teaching.<\/p>\n<h2>Plural.<\/h2>\n<p>EspacesTemps.<em>net<\/em> publishes diverse types of articles that are not limited to traditional scientific articles, but also include position papers, headlines, and reviews of other works. In this way, it is accessible to a larger audience than the sole academic reader. Since EspacesTemps.<em>net<\/em> aims for a sustained interaction with its readers, we have decided to create a debate around the journal\u2019s organisation and projects by presenting to you the current state of our reflections in the form of open questions: \u00ab<a href=\"http:\/\/www.espacestemps.net\/\/articles\/se-projeter-ensemble\/\">\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.espacestemps.net\/\/articles\/se-projeter-ensemble\/\">Se projeter, ensemble. EspacesTemps.<em>net, <\/em>un devenir \u00e0 construire<\/a>\u00a0\u00bb (in French).<\/p>\n<h2>Open Access.<\/h2>\n<p>Open Access (OA) electronic documents provide to all users the right to free access that is also irrevocable and universal, as well as the right to reuse documents while maintaining the requirement to quote. Since its birth, the journal <em>EspacesTemps.net<\/em> has made the choice to be available free, while insuring a scientific and editorial work that has its costs and that is only possible thanks to the support of our institutional partners and to the commitment of the members of the Editorial Board.
