Scopitone : nature.

L'eau.

Olivier Lazzarotti | 01.10.2022

Water, as an element of nature, whether it is raining or snowing, inspires songs in very different ways. And this suggests that there is no one nature, but that everyone understands and perceives it as they wish. [...]

Socio-histoire des catégories « amateurs » et « professionnels » en apiculture.

Agnès FortierPierre Alphandéry et Lucie Dupré | 13.09.2022

For a long time considered as a marginal activity, beekeeping has received particular attention in recent years due to the high mortality rate of bee colonies and its consequences on pollination, the maintenance of biodiversity and food security. Composed mainly of "amateurs", the beekeeping world contrasts with the process of professionalisation that has been imposed in agriculture since the mid-20th century. This article aims to question the genesis and the social and political construction of the categories "amateurs" and [...]

Scopitone : nature.

Soleil.

Olivier Lazzarotti | 01.09.2022

As an element of nature, the "sun" is in the title of some French songs. The star can be the occasion to take up themes specific to classical Western poetry. But, in the end, the heart of the matter lies in a much more political scope. [...]

Abstention et mathématiques électorales.

Enka Blanchard | 03.06.2022

With over 3 million people voting blank or invalid, 28% abstention and a much smaller margin of victory than in 2017, many analyses are possible, but most indicate at the very least a general dissatisfaction with the electoral system... [...]

France, une société géographique.

Jacques Lévy | 02.06.2022

The geography of the presidential election's second round is both simple and strong. It reveals a very marked opposition in terms of urbanity gradients and is more marked than the age, diploma or professional divides. The issue of inhabiting, where the voters' margins of autonomous choice are the most significant, shows the best resonance with political orientations. [...]

Faire la queue…

Patience et politique.

Jacques LévyOlivier Lazzarotti et Xavier Bernier | 01.06.2022

Queuing: although the expressions for it vary, the practice is probably one of the most widely shared experiences. However, it is far from being trivial. The observation of this singular experience, which plays with everyone's patience, speaks of cohabitation, and therefore of politics. [...]

France dorée, France rouillée.

Ce que nous montre la carte des densités de suffrages.

Patrick Poncet | 31.05.2022

Using an original cartographic technique combining coloured layers, the article presents the vote density map for the second round of the French presidential election of 2022. This cartography offers an alternative to electoral cartograms, keeping the usual location and shape of the territories while highlighting the electoral weight of the different areas of the country. Secondly, the article maps the useful electoral territory of E. Macron, and symmetrically highlights the abstract and impractical nature of Lepéniste electoral geography. [...]

La France urbaine de Yannick Jadot.

Matthias Kowasch | 30.05.2022

With 4.63% of the vote, the leader of Europe Écologie les Verts (EELV), Yannick Jadot, achieved the second best result of an ecologist candidate in a presidential election - a score, however, far from the hopes raised by the intermediate elections of 2019 and 2020. [...]
